The Heilpraktiker for Physiotherapy enables independent physiotherapy assessment and treatment without a medical prescription within clearly defined indications of the musculoskeletal system.
Scope of indications

- Acute and chronic pain syndromes of musculoskeletal origin
- Movement restrictions and muscular imbalances
Goals
- Functional improvement of joints, muscles and fascia
- Pain relief and restoration of load capacity
- Prevention of chronicity
- Promotion of physiological movement patterns
Approach
Treatment is based on an independent physiotherapy assessment. Before therapy begins, screening for warning signs (red flags) is carried out. If there is suspicion of causes that cannot be treated physiotherapeutically or require medical clarification, referral to a physician is made. Therapy is individually planned and carried out according to physiotherapy methods.
Can't get a doctor's appointment or prescription quickly?
Under the Heilpraktiker license for physiotherapy, you can book an appointment directly and receive treatment without a medical prescription. After a thorough physiotherapy assessment, treatment can begin immediately — provided there are no medical exclusion criteria.
Note: Treatment is provided as a self-pay service or through supplementary private insurance that covers Heilpraktiker physiotherapy.
